How to clean your notebooks

Computer cooling fan has weird voice, notebooks started more slowly, hotter at the bottom of the new notebook case, cleaning the monitor, if you have a problem, may wish to follow these steps so that you can maintain both internal and external to the computer moving good and clean, and to operate more smoothly and faster.

Washing the notebook keys, while the electric power is still off on the mobile computer, use a clean lint-free cloth with a gentle window cleaner. Avoid the use of bleach or other powerful commercial cleaning agent. Spray the cleanser on the cloth, not the actual keys. Lightly clean every single notebook key until nice and clean. Allow the keys dry for about twenty minutes prior to switching the notebook computer back on.

The LED screen on any mobile computer is required to be cleaned periodically. Airborne dirt, dust and everything else that drifts in the air will be pulled in to the exterior of the monitor. Ensure that the electric power to the product is off. Work with a clean water dampened lint-free fabric to gently wipe any kind of light particles from the surface area. Don't use any chemical products. If needed, you can get a LCD monitor cleaning kit that features a rather mild cleaner and fabric. This works on flat screen TV's too.

When you can see hair and dirt in or on the vents at the sides and bottom of the notebook case, you can bet there is certainly more inside the notebook computer. The only way to get it all out is to open up the notebook case. Once the notebook case is completely open, you will observe the 'dust bunnies' hiding nearby the notebook fan and CPU cooling heat sink. Remove big dust balls with a pair of tweezers. Pressurized air in a can works well to blow out the dust on and around the motherboard and keys. Be sure you hold the laptop case upright when using compressed air. If the can of air is tilted downwards when utilized, the gas inside will become a fluid. This can ruin parts inside the notebook computer.

When reassembling the notebook, be sure to use the right screws in the correct places. Some screws are usually longer than others, and need to be placed where the cables were originally. Pay particular attention to any ribbon cables and their connectors. The keyboard and mouse pad uses this. Be sure that the compression or wedge connectors are tight before you proceed to the next step.
